Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and efficiently melt a composite waste without disassembling and sorting it by effectively utilizing high heating amount or plastic or the like and capability as a reducing material in the case of melting at a high temperature, and setting concretely treating conditions. SOLUTION: This method for treating a composite waste comprises the steps of charging the waste containing at least metal and plastic together with coke in a multifunctional melting furnace having multi-stage air supply tuyeres 9a, 9b, setting an upper end level of a coke bed between an upper stage tuyere 9b and a lower stage tuyere 9a in the case of drying it, thermally decomposing it, burning it and melting the waste, and blowing oxygen-enriched air of ambient temperature from the tuyere 9a to the bed 13.
