Abstract:
Provided are a construction elevator lifting height extension method and an elevator rope lowering jig that can reduce the damping force that is necessary in order to control the movement amount and speed of a rope when a raising/lowering range is extended. This construction elevator lifting height extension method comprises: a rope re-hanging step in which a rope (8) is removed from a suspension sheave (7) of a second raising/lowering body (2) and re-hung on a rope lowering jig (18) that is lighter than the suspension sheave (7) of the second raising/lowering body (2); a raising step in which, after the rope re-hanging step, a machine room unit (3) is raised; a jig lowering step in which, after the raising step, the rope lowering jig (18) is lowered by letting out the rope (8) from a plurality of rope drums (12); and a rope return step in which, after the jig lowering step, the rope (8) is removed from the rope lowering jig (18) and re-hung on the suspension sheave (7) of the second raising/lowering body (2).
