Abstract:

To provide a base station, a user terminal and a method for realizing single enhanced MBMS (Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service).

The method for realizing single enhanced MBMS includes: establishing connection with a broadcast/multicast service center; acquiring the number of source symbols and the number of coded symbols; calculating a target packet loss rate meeting the demand of services on the basis of a target decoding failure probability, the number of source symbols and the number of coded symbols; acquiring a current packet loss rate when transmitting enhanced MBMS data; and performing control processing when the current packet loss rate is lower than or equal to the target packet loss rate, thereby reducing the average number of times of HARQ (Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) retransmission. When the demand of services is satisfied, the average number of times of HARQ retransmission is minimized, thereby improving a utilization rate of radio resources.
