Abstract:
To provide a method for mounting an accessory component into a pipe, whereby labor required for mounting the accessory component is reduced.SOLUTION: In a method for mounting an annular accessory component 102 in a groove formed in a pipe, part of the accessory component 102 is deformed radially inward by means of a pair of freely openable/closable claws 18, thereby forming an inward deformed part 119 is formed in the accessory component 102. The pair of claws 18 are closed to sandwich the inward deformation part 119 between the pair of claws 18 from both sides, thereby gripping the accessory component 102. The pipe of the accessory component 102 is inserted up to the position of the groove in the pipe from the open end of the pipe, and the accessory component 102 is fitted into the groove by opening the pair of claws 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
