Title:
METHOD FOR DETERMINING WHETHER CAPILLARY FILLED WITH ELECTROPHORETIC MEDIUM CAN BE USED APPROPRIATELY FOR ELECTROPHORESIS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2017201286
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining whether a capillary filled with an electrophoretic medium can be appropriately used for electrophoresis before electrophoresis is done with a measurement sample.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for determining whether a capillary filled with an electrophoretic medium can be used appropriately for electrophoresis. The method includes the steps of: (a) applying an AC voltage between a first electrode and a second electrode and measuring the conductivity of an electrophoretic medium filling the inside of a capillary, the first electrode being in contact with a first electrolytic solution in which one end of the capillary is immersed and the second electrode being in contact with a second electrolytic solution in which the other end of the capillary is immersed; and (b) determining that the capillary filled with the electrophoretic medium cannot be used appropriately for electrophoresis using the capillary if the conductivity exceeds 4.2 mS/cm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
