To prevent a crack from occurring even when a thickness of a bottle can is made thinner.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method comprises: a DI pressing step of molding a bottomed cylindrical body having a bottom part and a cylindrical part formed thereon by performing re-restriction and squeezing processing and bottom part forming processing on a cup-shaped raw material formed by restriction processing from a metal plate; a bottle neck forming step of reducing a diameter of an upper end side portion of a cylindrical part of the bottomed cylindrical body so as to form a shoulder part 6 and a neck part 7 having a further reducing diameter toward the upper end side from this shoulder part 6; and a cap installation part forming step of forming a cap installation part at the upper end part of the neck part 7. In the cap installation part forming step, a swelling part 8 is formed by stepwise expanding the diameter from the neck part to the upper end side part multiple times.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
