Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify incorporation of a fuel battery stack into a stack case.SOLUTION: Assuming that an interposed layer interposed in a stack-case gap between a fuel battery stack and a stack case is configured as an elongated body having an elliptical cross section, the minor axis of the elliptical cross section is set to be shorter than the stack-case gap, and the major axis of the elliptical cross section is set to be longer than the stack-case gap in the deformable dimension range of the interposed layer. In a battery manufacturing process, a fuel battery stack is incorporated in a stack case and positioned, the interposed layer is inserted in the stack-case gap while the minor axis is set to extend from the outer wall surface of the stack to the inner wall surface of the case, and the inserted interposed layer is rotated until both the end side sites of the major axis are pressed against the outer wall surface of the stack and the inner wall surface of the case.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
