Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a golf ball which can further improve resilience performance of a golf ball in which a rubber composition for a core contains (d) an unsaturated fatty acid and/or a metal salt thereof.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a golf ball includes: a first step of preparing a core rubber composition by kneading (a) a base rubber, (b) an α, β-unsaturated carboxylic acid having 3 to 8 carbon atoms and/or a metal salt thereof as a co-crosslinking agent, (c) a cross-linking initiator, and (d) an unsaturated fatty acid and/or a metal salt thereof; a second step of forming a spherical core from the core rubber composition; and a third step of molding at least one layer cover covering the spherical core on the spherical core. In the first step, kneading temperature after addition of (d) unsaturated fatty acid and/or metal salt thereof is 10°C or more and less than 50°C.SELECTED DRAWING: None
