To obtain a method for producing a jacquard cloth by which the delicate gradation expression of shadow which has been difficult by a color-assembling method can be achieved, of which the application to a thin cloth in that the achievement of full-color photograph-like textile is difficult is enabled, and by which a textile having designability applicable to a normal clothes, interior decoration or the like, and capable of expressing the rich shadow and color tone can be produced.
The method for producing the jacquard cloth for interweaving an image reflecting the shadow of the original image on a textile cloth is provided with an input means for reading data of the original image to be expressed on the textile cloth, and a data-converting means for carrying out a binarizing treatment by a systematic dither method by using a threshold sub-matrix previously formed so as to have characteristics suitable for the textile based on the data of the original image, and converting the data of the original image into the data for the textile reflecting the shadow possessed by the original image.
