Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing inexpensive paper towel that has a low basis weight and does not easily tear.SOLUTION: The method of producing paper towel of a basis weight per 1 ply of 30 to 36 g/mblended with waste-paper pulp, comprises a first step of adding a dry paper strength agent for adding an amphoteric dry paper strength agent to a paper stock comprising 90 to 100 mass% of waste-paper pulp as a fiber raw material at least in one of a machine tank and a mixing tank, a step of adding a wet paper strength agent for adding a cationic wet paper strength agent to the paper stock having gone through the first step of adding a dry paper strength agent in a seed box disposed downstream of the mixing tank, and a second step of adding a dry paper strength agent for adding at least one of the amphoteric dry paper strength agent and a cationic dry paper strength agent to the paper stock having gone through the step of adding a wet paper strength agent.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
