Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy the heat resistance, heat resisting dimensional stability, strength and weather resistance, and to remarkably reduce the weight by comprising a glass fiber-containing thermoplastic resin, and setting the content, average glass fiber length and average apparent density of the glass fiber to specified ranges, respectively. SOLUTION: This sunroof housing 1 has an opening part 3, and it is mounted on a ceiling plate. Consequently, a housing part 4 can be ensured by the automobile ceiling outer plate and a flat plate part 5. This automobile member is formed of a glass fiber-containing thermoplastic resin, and the content, average glass fiber length and average apparent density of the glass fiber are set to 15-60 wt.%, 2-20 mm, and 0.2-0.9 g/cm3, respectively. According to this, satisfactory heat resistance, particularly, heat resisting stability can be provided, in spite of a light weight, as well as the bending strength, bending rigidity and impact strength resistant to use, and reconciled the lighter weight.
