Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marine waste disposal plant which enables easily specifying the broken part of a double wall structural body which constitutes a cutoff part and also enables surely preventing the exudation of contaminated water to the open sea. SOLUTION: After the double wall structural body 8 provided with an impervious inner wall 6 and an outer wall 7 is built on the submarine ground 2, solidified soil 9 is packed into the double wall structural body 8, which is made to be the cutoff part 1 which cuts off a reclaimed site 3 from the open sea, A well 11 is formed through the solidified soil 9 of the cutoff part 1 and water level W1 of the well 11 is kept lower than the water level W2 of the reclaimed site 3 and the water level W3 of the open sea 4. The water level W1 of the well 11 and the water level W2 of the reclaimed site 3 are monitored by level sensors 14 and 15. When the water level W1 of the well 11 becomes higher than a set level, a pump 13 is activated by the command of a controller 16 and water is discharged from the well 11. At the same time, water quality of the discharged water is inspected and the existence or absence of contaminated water or sea water enables specification of the occurrence of breakage in the inner wall 6 or the outer wall 7.
