Abstract:
A heat exchanger for an air conditioner, equipped with multiple heat transfer fins the plate surfaces of which are arranged in parallel at prescribed intervals, and with heat transfer tubes that pass through multiple locations in the multiple heat transfer fins, with air being supplied in the direction parallel to the plate surfaces of the heat transfer fins, and the upwind side and the downwind side in the airflow direction being thermally isolated from each other. At least one notch is provided in the heat transfer fins in the region where the refrigerant flowing in the heat transfer tubes becomes a supercooled fluid during the heating operation, and the at least one notch completely separates the heat transfer fins between adjacent heat transfer tubes at the upwind side or the downwind side of the heat transfer fins, thereby providing thermal isolation between the adjacent heat transfer tubes.
