Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire capable of suppressing an occurrence of wrinkles when applying a band-shaped sealant layer.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire comprises: vulcanizing a pneumatic tire T provided with a tread portion 1 extending in a tire circumferential direction to form an annular shape, a pair of sidewall portions 2 arranged on both sides of the tread portion 1, and a pair of bead portions 3 arranged on an inner side in a tire outer radial direction of these sidewall portions 2; crimping a band-shaped sealant layer 10 to set a region corresponding to the tread portion 1 of a tire inner surface S using a pressing member 20 so as to a difference between crimping force at a center Pa in a width direction of the sealant layer 10 and crimping force at the end Pb in the width direction of the sealant layer 10 to be at 30 kPa or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
