Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rocket motor insulator capable of feeding combustion gas normally into a boot clearance at the time of ignition of propellant powder grain even if the propellant powder grain is deformed due to its vertical installation state for a long period of time and acceleration at the time of its use and provide a manufacturing method of the same.SOLUTION: An insulator 10 comprises an end segment 14 adhered to an inner surface end part of a motor case and a relief boot 16 integrally formed inside the end segment 14 while a boot clearance G being spaced apart. The boot clearance G has an inner opening end G0 communicated with combustion gas of the propellant powder grain 2. Further, there is provided a flow passage holding part 18 adhered to the end segment 14 at the boot clearance G, having a smaller axial thickness than that of the boot clearance G and a gas flow passage 20 communicating the inner opening end G0 with the boot clearance G is configured.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
