Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method for an amount of rubber forming an end of a topping sheet 2 which contributes to stable manufacturing of quality tires while improving productivity.SOLUTION: A measuring method includes the steps of: (1) sending off a topping sheet 2; (2) measuring an amount of β rays by scanning the topping sheet 2 with a sensor 24; and (3) determining an amount of rubber on the basis of the amount of β rays. In the step of measuring the amount of β rays, the sensor 24 is moved in a width direction of the topping sheet 2, and made to shuttle between one end 18 of the topping sheet 2 to the other end 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
