PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrically-driven press working machine which can widen a material uniformly and can perform highly accurate molding, ann a method for operation of the electrically-driven press working machine.SOLUTION: An electrically-driven press working machine 1 comprises: a strut 2; a slide 11 which is movable with respect to the strut 2; plural drive parts 12 for driving the slide 11; plural power transmission parts 13 which so connect the slide 11 as to be rotatable in any direction and transmit drive power generated by the drive part 12 to the slide 11; plural position detection parts 14 which detect a position of the slide 11 corresponding to the plural drive parts 12; and a control 7 which can separately drive the plural drive parts 12 so that the slide 11 is moved to each predetermined position based on positions of the slide 11 which are detected by the position detection parts 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
