Abstract:
To provide an operation method of a flash furnace capable of efficiently dissolving and removing a coagulum at a connection opening between an uptake and an exhaust heat boiler.SOLUTION: An operation method of a flash furnace dissolves and removes a coagulum at a connection opening with using oxidation heats of at least one of un-reacted copper purified ore contained in an exhaust gas passing the connection opening, a mat component contained in the exhaust gas, and a dust component of the coagulum of the connection opening by setting oxidation concentration of the connection opening between an uptake and an exhaust heat boiler at higher compared to before introduction, by introducing gas at volume of 1.0% to 5.0% of whole exhaust gas of the flash furnace from an air intake port formed at a settler or the uptake during operation of the flash furnace.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
