Abstract:
The procedure for purifying crude oil from drilling consists of separating it into two fractions - gas and a de-gassed emulsion, with the latter separated into water and oil by means of a sub-stage of washing the emulsion with water at the oil/water interface, stripping with the aid of a gas, preferably an acid gas, and decanting. The apparatus used for the second stage of the procedure comprises an emulsion separating tank (112) containing a sprinkler (115) or water distributor for washing the emulsion at the oil/water interface, and a stripping gas distributor (116) at the bottom of the tank. An additional water sprinkler (117) or distributor is contained of washing the emulsion at the gas/oil interface.
