PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an organic photoelectric conversion device by a new method for orienting an orientational organic material which an active layer has, etc.SOLUTION: A method for producing a photoelectric conversion device having an orientation layer which has a first orientation organic material, and an active layer which converts incident light into electricity, includes: an orientation layer formation step of forming an orientation layer by using the first orientational organic material; a first rubbing step of rubbing the orientation layer in a first direction in the surface in parallel with the orientation layer; a second rubbing step of rubbing the orientation layer in a second direction different from the first direction in the surface in parallel with the orientation layer; and an active layer formation step of forming the active layer by using a second orientational organic material.
