Abstract:
The aluminization of metal components with internal holes and/or cavities by vapor phase deposition is carried out using a gaseous precursor incorporating an aluminum compound which is fed, with the aid of a carrier gas at a regulated pressure into contact with the surfaces of the component. The carrier gas is chosen from helium and argon. The carrier gas is chosen from helium and argon and the pressure in the enclosure is chosen such that the mean free links of the carrier gas molecules may be at least two times greater than those for argon molecules under atmospheric pressure.
