To provide a method for collecting Au from an Au-cyanide-containing aqueous solution, where the collecting efficiency of Au is high, and further, the space of a collecting apparatus therefor can be made small, and to provide an apparatus for realizing the method.
The method for collecting Au from an Au-cyanide-containing raw material aqueous solution comprises: a membrane separation stage where the raw material aqueous solution is separated into a concentrated liquid and a penetrated liquid using a reverse osmosis membrane; and an electrolysis stage where the concentrated liquid is electrolyzed in a first electrolytic cell, so as to collect Au. The half-concentrated liquid obtained in the membrane separation stage is electrolyzed in a second electrolytic cell, as a part of Au in the half-concentrated liquid is recovered, it is recirculated, so as to cause membrane separation, and, at the optional point of time in which the concentration of Au in the half-concentrated liquid increases, it is fed to the first electrolytic cell, thus Au is collected.
