Abstract:

To provide a means of recovering deterioration of a battery capacity without complicating the battery structure.

The capacity recovering method of a lithium ion secondary battery includes a process to add a capacity recovery material in an electrolyte layer in the lithium secondary battery having a power generation element in which a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and the electrolyte layer are laminated. Then, in that method, an oxidation potential of the capacity recovery material is lower than the potential of the positive electrode at the time of discharge and the reduction potential of the capacity recovery material is lower than the potential of the negative electrode at the time of discharge.
