To provide a method for recovering copper with high grade from copper-containing molten material obtained with a melting treatment of industrial waste.
This method for recovering the copper having high purity is included with a first process, in which in the molten material consisting essentially of the copper obtained with the treatment of the waste material, iron source and calcium source are added, and calcium oxide-containing slag consisting essentially of cuprous oxide-iron oxide is formed to make slag of impurity metal in the above molten material, and a second process, in which the calcium source is added into the molten material removing the slag and oxidizing-refining is performed by adjusting oxygen concentration in the molten material and the cuprous oxide-calcium oxide base slag is formed to make slag of the impurity metal in the above molten material.
