Abstract:
To provide a method for recovering iridium from water solution containing the iridium and a sulfuric acid, easily with high purity .SOLUTION: In an iridium recovery method, a sodium-based neutralizer or a magnesium-based neutralizer is added to water solution containing iridium and a sulfuric acid until a pH of the water solution becomes 2.5 or more to obtain sedimentation containing the iridium. Preferably, a calcium-based neutralizer is added in a region where the pH of the water solution is 1.0 or less to precipitate gypsum, and with a step of removing the gypsum by solid-liquid separation, the sodium-based neutralizer or the magnesium-based neutralizer is added to residual liquid after removing the gypsum until the pH of the water solution becomes 2.5 or more to obtain the sedimentation containing the iridium. Further, in a region where the pH of the water solution or the residual liquid is less than 6.0, after obtaining the sedimentation containing the iridium, the calcium-based neutralizer is added until the pH of the residual liquid becomes 6.0 or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
