Abstract:

To separate and recover lead from a gas produced when having heat-treated waste containing the lead in a reducing atmosphere.

This recovering method comprises: heat-treating the waste containing lead, zinc, iron and sulfur in a reducing atmosphere to volatilize lead; (1) cleaning the gas containing the lead with an acid cleaning solution having a pH of 2 or lower, and then separating the acid cleaning solution which has finished cleaning, into a solid residue containing carbon particles and a liquid containing the lead, or (2) cleaning the gas containing the lead with an acid cleaning solution having a pH of 2 to 4, then separating the acid cleaning solution having finished cleaning into a solid residue containing carbon particles and a lead compound, and a liquid having the lead removed therefrom, and then decreasing the pH of the solid residue to 2 or lower to separate it into the solid residue containing the carbon particles and the liquid containing the lead; and then recovering lead concentrate from the liquid containing the lead.
