Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover noble metals from an organic solvent in which a noble metal compound is dissolved without burning an organic matter. SOLUTION: Base metals (such as magnesium, aluminum, zinc and lead) and hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid are added to an organic solvent in which a noble metal compound (of platinum, palladium or the like) is dissolved to reduce and precipitate noble metals, and the precipitation is filtered to recover noble metals.
