Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for selectively separate silver using a redox reaction in a case where both silver and copper are dissolved in a halide aqueous solution.SOLUTION: When recovering silver from a halide aqueous solution selected from a chloride aqueous solution, bromide aqueous solution or iodide aqueous solution, the following processes are applied: a coexistence process of making an iron ion of three times or more moles to silver and a sulfate ion of two times or more moles to silver coexistent in the halide aqueous solution containing silver; after the coexistence process, a redox potential adjusting process of adjusting the redox potential to the silver/silver halide electrode to 400 mV or lower; and after the redox potential adjusting process, a pH adjusting process of adjusting pH to 1-6.
