Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce dioxins in exhaust gas from a metal melting furnace employing wire chips including a chlorine based resin coating material as a material in the metal melting furnace. SOLUTION: Inner temperature of a melting furnace is set at 850 deg.C or above, a heat storage body 9 is disposed at the exhaust gas outlet 12 of the melting furnace, and exhaust gas from the melting furnace is quenched at 200 deg.C or below by the heat storage body 9 before being discharged. Since dioxins in the exhaust gas is reduced in the furnace, a treatment facility for reducing dioxins is not required and the invention is advantageous in view points of space and cost. Sustention of high temperature in the furnace and quenching of exhaust gas can be realized readily by performing alternate combustion of a plurality of heat storage burners while dividing into several sets thereby thermally fusing the material. Since a heat insulating metal material charging door 1 is employed, radiation from the door part is suppressed and temperature in the furnace rises to reduce dioxins furthermore.
