Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating and restoring a copper-made continuous casting mold made to be a waste due to slight thickness reduction by regeneration by thickly plating the surface of such a mold with a plating film comprising copper-nickel alloy having a characteristic equivalent to the copper-made mold, and to enable repeated regeneration/restoration of a mold base material itself unless special factors participate.SOLUTION: In a copper/nickel alloy-electric plating film, the film of 1 mm or more in thickness whose production was impossible conventionally is obtained by utilizing the plating bath in which a thickening property is specified and by controlling the aeration amount and time, a non-aeration time and the like. The obtained alloy plating film of a laminated structure has a peculiar structure in which a high-nickel content layer and low-that content layer are alternately laminated. Since an average nickel content can be optionally controlled, and the copper-nickel alloys having different electric conductivity are obtained, the film can also be used for a continuous casting machine with electromagnetic agitation function.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
