Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the level of residual impurities in treated water and at the same time, enable the capability of an ion exchange device to be sufficiently displayed by introducing the treated water obtained through a treatment part receiving water supply, into a treatment part in the process of regeneration, in a regeneration method for an ion exchange device equipped with treatment parts filled with an ion exchange resin. SOLUTION: When a resin cylinder 1 is in the state of regeneration and the other resin cylinder 19 is in the process of receiving water supply, untreated water flowing into the resin cylinder 19 from an untreated water supply line 20, is subjected to a water softening process by an iron exchange resin and the softened hard water is supplied into a softened hard water line 21. In addition, a part of the softened hard water is supplied to a softened hard water tank 7 from a water replenishing line 27. The softened hard water flowing down the downstream softened hard water line 11 from the softened hard water tank 7, further flows down the resin cylinder 1 from a saline water down flow line 8 to water-wash a residual salt content in the ion exchange resin. Thus the softened hard water is drained from a drain line 14 as a drain. In addition, the softened hard water flowing down the softened hard water line 21 passes through the resin cylinder 1 from a cleaning water line 33. On the other hand, the residual water in the ion exchange resin is drained from the drain line 14.
