PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing an injection needle which does not require operation, structure required for the same, and an attachment for a medical waste container.SOLUTION: A method for removing a needle unit 27 together with a cover 20 includes: to release a screwed state of a needle unit 27 into a body case 30 by rotating the body case 30 of an injection syringe 3 while a bottomed cylindrical part 22 of the cover 20 is pushed into a first part 41 of a long hole 40 formed on an attachment 4 of a container 1; to subsequently move the cover 20 together with the body case 30 from the first part 41 of the long hole 40 to a second part 42 along the long hole 40; and to drop the needle unit 27 stuck on the side of the body case 30 together with the cover 20 to the inside of the container 1 by pulling the body case 30 upward in an axial direction S while a large-diameter part 21 of the cover 20 engages the second part 42 in the axial direction S of a needle 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
