Abstract:

To provide an electronic clock capable of suppressing power consumption and a drive rank selection method for a normal drive pulse.SOLUTION: An electronic clock 100 comprises a step motor ST, a normal drive pulse generation circuit 3, a rotation detection circuit 9, and a drive rank selection circuit 10. Drive ranks include at least a specific drive rank, a first drive rank to be selected when a rank is ranked down from the specific drive rank, and a second drive rank to be selected when the rank is ranked up from the specific drive rank. The drive rank selection circuit 10 performs different control in the selection of a drive rank between a case where the last output normal drive pulse SP is the first drive rank and the drive rank of the normal drive pulse SP to be output this time is ranked up, and a case where the last output normal drive pulse SP is the second drive rank and the drive rank of the normal drive pulse SP to be output this time is ranked down.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
