Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that it is difficult to realize an assumed image quality due to displacement of a dot formation position when a dither method or an error diffusion method using a mask with high dispersibility is generally used for printing at a high image quality.SOLUTION: When dot data indicating existence of dot formation is created on the basis of a graduation value of each pixel forming an image, respective dots belonging to plural pixel groups with different printing conditions are overlaid in a common region for printing. A noise characteristic having a peak on a higher frequency side than a low frequency region of not more than a predetermined spatial frequency is provided to distribution of dots formed in the common region in a spatial frequency region. Furthermore, in a predetermined gradation range that probabilities k1, k2, at which the dots are formed on first and second pixels belonging to two pixel groups are k1<0.5 and k2<0.5, when the first and second pixels are adjacent pixels, probability K, at which the dots are formed on both of the adjacent pixels, is set proximate to k1 and k2.
