Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which allows the monitoring of the normal operation of a large number of spinning units in a ring spinning machine easily and at low cost during the production of spinning cops.SOLUTION: In a method for monitoring the normal operation of spinning units in a ring spinning machine, a running yarn 56 of a spinning cop 13 is scanned by a sensor device formed as a yarn tension sensor 67. Yarn tension data obtained by the yarn tension sensor is transferred to a winding unit computer 54 of a corresponding winding unit for processing, where the yarn tension data exceeding a prescribed boundary value and suggesting a hard-wound spinning cop is interpreted as problematic. In that case, the yarn tension data is associated with a spinning unit in the ring spinning machine which has produced the corresponding spinning cop.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
