Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a method for designing and supporting a pipe made of a fiber reinforced plastic material, not provided heretofore and capable of calculating the wall thickness, bending rigidity and twist rigidity of the pipe made of the fiber reinforced plastic material at an arbitrary cross-sectional region in contradistinction to a target value including an allowance value. SOLUTION: In the method for designing and supporting a pipe made of the fiber reinforced plastic material, when one arbitrary cross-sectional region of the pipe made of the fiber reinforced plastic material is extracted, the wall thickness, bending rigidity and twist regidity of the pipe being target values, allowance values of them and the outer diameter of a mandrel are inputted to a computer, and the kind of a sheet member and the angle of fiber orientation of the sheet member are indicated to display the laminated constitution of the sheet member satisfying the target values including the allowance values and the wall thickness, bending rigidity and twist rigidity of the pipe on the computer and the design of the pipe made of the fiber reinforced plastic material or accurate data necessary for production can be simply obtained by anyone.
