Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new renewable energy utilizing, as fuel, aluminum that is not harmful to the environment or human beings, and can be easily stored and supplied in a stable manner.SOLUTION: Aluminum powder and oxygen are fed into a combustion chamber to perform stationary combustion there, and the generated energy is taken out and utilized. The stationary combustion of aluminum is carried out under a certain control of one of an amount of aluminum powder to be fed into the combustion chamber and an amount of oxygen to be fed thereinto or both of them. The control of the amount of aluminum powder is carried out by controlling an amount of aluminum powder mixed into injection flow of carrier gas feeding the powder into the combustion chamber or by controlling an amount of impurities mixed into the aluminum powder. The control of the amount of oxygen is carried out by controlling a mixing ratio with an amount of dilution gas simultaneously fed into the combustion chamber. Alumina generated as a result of combustion is recovered and aluminum attained through its reduction can be utilized again as fuel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
