Abstract:
[Problem] To make it possible for a user to inhale radon with a concentration that is stable at all times and is not affected by the ambient temperature, and to make it possible for the user to obtain an effect similar to that of a spa at a radon hot spring. [Solution] A spa box 1 is provided with: a radon generating vessel 2 which has an opening portion 23 in an upper portion thereof, and inside which an ore 21 containing a radioactive substance and water 22 are accommodated; a lid member 24 which is attached removably to the opening portion 23 of the radon generating vessel 2 and which is configured in such a way as to be capable of hermetically sealing the opening portion 23; a radon outlet pipe 20 permitting communication between the inside and the outside of the radon generating vessel 2; a sheet heater 14 which heats the radon generating vessel 2; a vessel accommodating box 3 inside which the radon generating vessel 2 is accommodated, and in which the sheet heater 14 is installed; and an open/close valve 18 which is disposed midway along the radon outlet pipe 20 that extends to the outside from the radon generating vessel 2, and which opens and closes the radon outlet pipe 20.
