Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fall of a brake drum without damaging a fixed bracket even in the case of repeating disassembling and assembling in a hub brake device for bicycles.
SOLUTION: This brake device 13f is provided with the fixed bracket 30f, the brake drum 40, a brake shoe 40, a brake operating part 33f, and first fall preventing parts 36 and 37. The fixed bracket is installed in a front fork not to turn. The brake drum has a braking surface 51 formed in the inner peripheral surface and an annular projecting part 44e formed in the outer peripheral surface by projecting in the radial direction, and formed into a cylindrical shape which can rotate with the hub. The brake shoe works the brake drum for braking. The brake operating part makes the brake shoe contact with the brake drum. The first fall preventing parts are installed in the fixed bracket freely to be removed, and projected inward in the radial direction to face to the annular projecting part to prevent a fall of the brake drum.
