Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve durability by providing an intermediate brake member in between the fixed system and rotary system brake members of an automatic free wheel hub clutch and pressing said intermediate brake member with the operating piece of said rotary system brake member to obtain a locked condition. CONSTITUTION:A drive gear 2 is joined by splines to the outer periphery of an axle shaft 1 and a cam member 4 is joined 2b by splines to the outer periphery of the drive gear 2. Plural V-groove type cam parts 8a of a brake outer 8 are fitted to the outside diameter side part of the cam part 4a of the cam member 4 while V-groove formed first and second cam parts 9a, 9b of a brake inner 9 are fitted to the inside diameter side part of the cam part 4a. And, an intermediate brake member 16 which slides on the inner peripheral face of the brake outer 8 to effect braking force is provided in between the brake inner 9 and a thrust washer 14, and a locked condition is obtained by engaging the taper part 16a of the member 16 with an operating piece 9e provided on the brake inner 9.
