Abstract:

PURPOSE: To maintain a constant hub quality while enhancing the economy and flexibil ity in the manufacture by patterning the hub on the opposite side to the bonding face from the bonding face side using a plurality of rectangular prisms or mirrors for measuring the border position of groups.
CONSTITUTION: Before a hub is bonded to an optical disc, an Al plate is secured onto a work holder 13 and a slider 11 is moved to the place where the hub is bonded. Furthermore, a Z table 16 is moved to lower a horn 17 and the Al plate is impressed by the tip of a guide pin 18 before the horn 17 is reset. The slider 11 is then shifted to a position measuring place and an XY table 12 is moved to make the center of the impression coincide with that of a TV. The bonding position of the hub is determined with the center of TV as an original point and the position thus determined is stored. An optical disc having no protective film is then chucked by a work holder 13 and the imaginary image of a measuring point 19a at a group border 19 taken by a rectangular prism 14a is made to coincide with the center of TV thus determining the coordinates of the imaginary image of the point 19a. Similarly, the coordinates of measuring points 14b-14d are determined. The hub is then bonded to the optical disc so that the center of hub hole coincides with that of the group.
