Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of negative pressure between lips of a sealing device for a long period of time, and to surely prevent a rise of rotation torque, in a hub unit bearing.SOLUTION: A sealing device 30 is composed of a metal-made core grid 27 fixed to an outer ring, and an elastic member 34 which is fixed to the core grid 27, and formed of an elastic body, and the elastic member 34 comprises one lip 35 which extends toward an annular space, and slide-contacts with an inner shaft, and the other lip 36 which extends toward a direction apart from the annular space, and slide-contacts with the inner shaft. A valve 40 extending toward a lip tip in a tongue shape from the core grid 27 is formed at the one lip 35 by forming a notch J which penetrates in a thickness direction. A position of a tip of the valve 40 is apart from the lip tip of the one lip 35 by a prescribed dimension.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
