Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent application of force directed outward in the diametrical direction on an inner ring, damage of this inner ring or slippage of a pre-load given on a rolling element at the time of fixing the inner ring against a hub.
SOLUTION: An inner ring 3 and a spacer ring 18 are externally fit on a step part 8 of an outer peripheral surface of a hub 2. Thereafter, the spacer ring 18 is pressed and fit by a caulking part 16a formed on an inner end part of the hub 2. Outward force in the diametrical direction generated at the time of forming the caulking part 16a is received by the spacer ring 18 and it is not transmitted to the inner ring 3.
