Title:
HULL HAVING OUT BRACKET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS62163894
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the splashing of water onto outboard motor by installing a flap extending towards the outboard motor onto a transom and arranging the undersurface of the flap nearly onto the extension surface of a keel surface, thus reducing the rising of the retreat wave which is pushed to the outboard motor side during deceleration. CONSTITUTION:In navigation, the water stream which flows along a keel surface 5 flows along the undersurface of a flap 10, and departs from the rear edge of the flap 10 and passes the vicinity of the cavitation plate 43 of an outboard motor 4, and forms retreat waves behind. Even if the speed is decelerated from the high speed navigation, the water depth of the cavitation plate 43 of the outboard motor 4 from the water surface of the retreat wave formed by the keel surface 5 is reduced, and the height of the wave which pushes back to the outboard motor side in deceleration is reduced to the height of the hull in the motor well specification. Therefore, the rising of the water surface in deceleration is reduced, and the splashing of water onto the upper part of the outboard motor 4 can be prevented.
