To relax the stress concentration having taken place in the past at the corner winding weld toe part of a hull reinforcing plate where welding has been carried out in such a way as to ride across the face of a longitudinal strake and a bulkhead in connection with the hull structure where the longitudinal strake and the bulkhead are provided so as to be intersected with each other in the inside of a hull outside plating.
This hull structure is provided with a longitudinal strake L formed out of a web 2 mounted in the inside of a side plating 1, and of a face 3, and with a reinforcing plate 7 to be piled up to the face 3, and since a corner winding weld toe part 6 is so designed as to be located at the boundary area between a thick plate part 7a to which the hull reinforcing plate 5 of the aforesaid face reinforcing plate 7 is welded, and a recessed curved surface part 7b the thickness of which is decreased in order toward its thin plate part 7c, the aforesaid part 6 can thereby be prevented from being cracked.
