PURPOSE: To provide a human-body detection and control switch wherein, when a human being goes out from a detection area, a control signal is turned off and a malfunction is not caused.

CONSTITUTION: In a human-body detection and control switch, a detection beam group is provided inside a detection area, infrared rays emitted from a human body are condensed by a condensing part 50, their change portion is detected by an infrared detector 10, and a control signal is output by its detection signal. The infrared detector 10 is provided witch a plurality of pairs of infrared detection elements of positive and negative opposite characteristics, and it is provided with the detection beam group in which adjacent detection beams output detection signals of mutually positive and negative opposite characteristics. Then, the detection and control switch is provided wish a signal processing part 13 wherein, when a plurality of independent detection signals are output, the control signal is turned on and the off-delay time of the control signal is set and renewed to be short as well as, on the other hand, when a single detection signal is output, the control signal is turned on and the off-delay time of the control signal is set and renewed to be long.
