Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a chair for physically handicapped person, whose back rest and leg support member are adjustable irrespective of the seat position and can be tilted together with the seat, in which the relative positioning with these constituent members can be maintained, and which can be embodied in a portable type to admit the person approaching it properly from the side or in the stationary installation type. CONSTITUTION: The back rest 14 of a chair is installed slidably on a tilting frame 6 in an inverted U-shape installed behind, and the fixed legs of the frame 6 installed on the side of the back rest are coupled by a hinge with the seat 15 at the first point A, and the second leg 12 has an adjustable length and is coupled with the seat at the second point B, and the back rest 14 is coupled with the seat 15 by an adjusting mechanism and moved pivotedly relative to the frame 6 in the direction of the seat 15 when the frame 6 is moved downward about the pivot.
