To find and acquire a gene in humans of GlyT2, as one of two kinds of glycine transporters whose presence is proved now; and to further widely contribute to clarification, curing, and prevention of disease related to the glycine in the humans.
A method of detecting whether an animal has autoimmunity antibody to human glycine T-2 transporter is provided. In this method, an antibody sample from the animal and body fluid from the animal is brought into contact with a polypeptide antigen that contains the human glycine T-2 transporter or guided from the glycine transporter, the polypeptide antigen has sequence number 27 and its derivative substitution amino acid sequence, or is coded by nucleic acid sequence of sequence number 26 or its derivative substitution sequence.
