Abstract:
To provide a protein family of testis-specific kinases (tssk family) which are expressed during spermatogenesis and expected to have use as a new contraceptive means, and nucleic acid sequences encoding those kinases.
There are disclosed: polypeptides having kinase activity for identifying a tssk kinase inhibitor which is used as a contraceptive agent and having a specific amino acid sequence; polynucleotides containing a specific base sequence encoding the polypeptides; recombinant constructs thereof; and transgenic cells containing the constructs.
