Title:
HUMAN-TRACKING SPOT AIR CONDITIONER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3166248
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a human-tracking spot air conditioner capable of tracking a man near the boundary of back ground area stably.
CONSTITUTION: An air outlet duct 3 is supported pivotably on the main body 1 of a device and ultrasonic sensors 10, 11 are fixed to the duct 3. The air outlet duct 3 is pivoted by an outlet port pivoting motor. A microcomputer stores the position of a detected body in a detecting area accompanied by the pivoting of the ultrasonic sensors 10, 11 as a background information and sets a distance, shorter by a given value than the background distance, as the maximum detecting distance of the ultrasonic sensors 10, 11 when no body is detected in the detecting area as a result of the pivoting of the ultrasonic sensors 10, 11 controlled by the outlet port pivoting motor while the microcomputer sets the background distance as the maximum detecting distance of the ultrasonic sensors 10, 11 when a man is detected while the microcomputer controls the outlet port pivoting motor to direct an air outlet port 3a toward a man in the detecting area of the maximum detecting distance.
